Cars, 1997
In the spring of 1997, I did a series in oil of mostly black cars.  It was just about the hustle and
bustle of city life.  The rat race we're all forced to live in.  I chose a playful, almost childlike
painting style, almost as if I was playing with the images like a child plays with toy cars or building
blocks.  Or like God plays with our lives like toys and we're just all trying to get ahead.
