Scraped Paintings from 1994
These paintings were painted , then scraped down with
a chisel to the underlayers as an experiment.  They
turned out quite beautiful.  In some cases I added
additional paintstrokes after the scraping.  They
reminded me of memory.  How you often forget a face
remembering only the fuzzy parts of the image in your
mind.  They also kind of turned out looking like rag
dolls.
